This summer holds a special significance for Yibin Hongqu Thread Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hongqu Thread"). The signing of a 700,000 spindle high-end sewing thread intelligent production line marks a new journey in the development of Hongqu Thread. "The project is expected to be put into operation in April 2025. By then, the sewing thread produced by the company will account for 18% of the global market share and 20% of the national market share. When the reporter was in the world's largest single textile plant covering 60,000 square meters of Hongqu Thread, he was deeply shocked by the intelligent scene in front of him — rows of roaring automated equipment are operating at full speed. Tons of cotton undergo nine processes: cleaning, carding, roving, drawing, spinning, winding, doubling, twisting, and finishing, continuously producing spools of white yarn from the production line. Hongqu Thread has two such production workshops with a total capacity of 200,000 spindles.
"Our high-end intelligent sewing thread project was settled in the Wangchang Industrial Zone of Pingshan County, Yibin, Sichuan, in 2019, and was completed and put into operation in June 2020. With a total investment of 800 million yuan and covering an area of 240 acres, it has currently achieved an output value of 500 million yuan, tax revenue of 15 million yuan, and created jobs for 650 people. The products are exported to markets in Brazil, Spain, Korea, and domestic regions such as Zhejiang, Hubei, Guangdong, widely used in internationally renowned brands like LV, Hermes, Uniqlo," Yu Zexue told a reporter from China Textile News.

With unique twisting and finishing processes, the sewing thread base yarns have higher strength and lower elongation, making them less likely to break during sewing, ensuring seam durability, and meeting the requirements of high-speed sewing equipment to improve production efficiency."
